DEMA — Digital Engineering Data Management Platform
A full-stack desktop application for engineering data lifecycle management, implementing the CIM4DE conceptual information model end to end.
Problem
Engineering records accumulate across disconnected workflows with inconsistent metadata, which makes traceability and quality assessment manual and unreliable.
Architecture
A desktop application built with React, Electron and Vite on the frontend against Java/Spring Boot backend services.
Method
Implements the complete CIM4DE (Conceptual Information Model for Digital Engineering) specification — data models for entity relationships, classification hierarchies and metadata schemas — plus automated data-quality classification logic that categorises engineering records by completeness and validation criteria.
Future work
Continued system integration with engineering workflows, enabling traceability and consistency through standardised metadata management.
